Since everything has become web or mobile based – image has become even more important than before, especially with your digital presence. From researching companies and products, to purchasing items, to planning your next career move, everything is currently done via the internet. This has upped the ante for your digital brand. Your digital brand portrays the image of your company online – or the image you want your consumers to get from your company – your website, Facebook page, Google+ Local, Twitter & even posts from your employees – all come into contact with your potential prospects long before you get a chance to make a personal impression. Now, it is not good enough to just have a website, you need to be mobile-friendly, social media enhanced, Search Engine Optimized and responsive to online reviews and opportunities to brand your company online. Websites and social media are branding companies like never before. Not using social media as a company? Be sure that your clients &/or customers aren’t already using social media to talk about you. Facebook, Foursquare and Yelp have made it easy for your clients to setup a page for you. Don’t be afraid! While you may not be ready, your clients are ready to share how great your business is with all of their friends. Embrace the opportunity, and don’t bury your head in the sand. Even if you aren’t ready to post and blog as a company, you should still claim & monitor any social media profiles your company may have (remember, your customers may have already set these up for you). Be aware of what is being said about you and you will at least have the opportunity to respond if needed. Need help with your website, branding your social media or cleaning up your digital presence? Our good friend TJ Barbe-Marbois and his team built Vero – True Social and we’ve been following their progress since the app was in beta. We’re proud to see their hard work and original vision coming to fruition. Last week, Vero was the #1 download in 18 countries for both iOS and Android app stores. Congratulations to Vero – True Social!
Moving your WordPress website to a new host can seem intimidating. There’s one handy tool, the DNS record, that helps us migrate sites without interruption to all the other services connected to your site like subdomains, emails, domain verifications, and secure forms.
CSS v HTML – Still confused? Think of HTML as the Architecture & engine of your website. HTML describes the placement of content such as text or pictures and retrieves online information. CSS is the Interior Designer that communicates what colors, fonts, and designs the website’s content will have.
