The Cloud

Many of us utilize the Cloud and cloud computing services, but do we really know what it is? Something floating in the sky? A mysterious piece of hardware that no one can see? The Cloud or cloud computing, is an application run on Internet servers that companies such as Google and Facebook use and store your media. This allows you to access data, pictures, music, videos, etc. on a place that isn’t your computer or a physical piece or hardware (i.e. CD, computer hard drive and others). Cloud computing has a lot of advantages that its floppy disk counterpart didn’t. For instance, you can access files, media, e-mail’s, etc. from anywhere at any time, “And with cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, or SugarSync, you can store your files.” Allowing you to have a backup of all files accessed from another computer.
